Katy Heritage Museum, An old-fashioned broad-ax slashed binder-twine to officially open the 9,600-square foot Katy Heritage Museum at 6002 George Bush Drive in the VFW Park. Vintage farming equipment and artifacts from Katy’s agricultural and pioneering history are on display, along with scores of old photographs and fascinating antiques. Free admission. Open several days a week, schools, clubs and groups can make arrangements for special tours of the Museum.

Hours: Open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday and the first weekend of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and from 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

 

 

 

Katy Veterans Memorial Museum,
VFW Community Building, 6202 George Bush Drive. "The G.I. Joe Museum". First-Class military exhibit of historical significance encompassing every foreign conflict involving the United States. Open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the first weekend of every month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Special group schedules on request. No admission. Memberships available. Contributions appreciated.
