📜 City of Katy Proclaims Constitution Week – September 17–23, 2025 📜

The City of Katy is proud to join communities across the nation in observing Constitution Week, celebrated annually September 17–23 to honor the signing of the U.S. Constitution. This year marks the 238th anniversary of the signing of the document that continues to safeguard the rights and freedoms of every American.

At the September 8, 2025 City Council meeting, Mayor William H. “Dusty” Thiele officially proclaimed September 17–23 as Constitution Week in Katy and recognized members of the Star of Destiny Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for their efforts in promoting the study and appreciation of the U.S. Constitution.

Mayor Thiele encourages all Katy residents to take time this week to reflect on the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship, and to study the Constitution as a reminder of the liberties it guarantees for future generations.
