❄️ How to Safely Thaw a Turkey:

  • Refrigerator Thawing (Recommended): Allow 24 hours for every 4–5 pounds of turkey.
    • 12–16 lbs: 3–4 days
    • 16–20 lbs: 4–5 days
    • 20–24 lbs: 5–6 days
  • Cold Water Thawing: Keep the turkey in its original packaging and submerge in cold water, changing the water every 30 minutes.
    • Allow 30 minutes per pound.
  • Never thaw a turkey on the counter β€” bacteria can grow rapidly at room temperature and increase fire risk during cooking.

πŸ‘Ά Keep children at least 3 feet away from hot stoves, food, and liquids β€” steam or splashes from gravy, vegetables, or coffee can cause serious burns.

🧯 Keep matches & lighters out of reach β€” up high in a locked cabinet.

🧼 Keep flammable items like tea towels away from stovetops, grills, and flames.

🚨 Make sure smoke alarms are working β€” press the test button to check.
