FM 1463 to close this weekend as construction continues; motorists should expect delays.    

As part of an ongoing construction, TxDOT crews will close the north and southbound mainlanes of FM 1463 beginning at 9:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, through 5:00 a.m. Sunday, December 7. 

This $125-million-dollar project will reconstruct the lanes from two to four lanes and add raised medians to improve traffic flow and enhance safety. During construction, drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs and remain vigilant of changing traffic patterns. 

The closures are as follows:

The FM 1463 mainlanes north and southbound from Kingsland Blvd. to I-10.

•    Southbound traffic will turn left onto the I-10 eastbound frontage road, continue and turn right onto Pin Oak Rd, turn right onto Kingsland Blvd, and continue and turn left onto FM1463.

•    Northbound traffic will turn right onto Kingsland Blvd, continue and turn left onto Pin Oak Rd, turn left onto the IH-10 westbound frontage road, and continue and turn right onto FM 1463.
