🚧West Katy Drainage Improvements Project🚧
A third-party contractor, AAA Asphalt Paving, Inc. will begin work on the” West Katy Drainage Improvements Project” for the City of Katy on Monday, February 23, 2026.
At the start of the project, Contractor will commence roadway improvements on Franz Road - east of Cane Island Parkway. To accomplish construction, the left lanes going eastbound and westbound will be closed on Franz Road. Updates will be provided, as necessary. The Franz Road portion of this project is expected to be completed by end of March 2026, barring any unforeseen weather conditions.
Concurrently, cleaning and television inspection of the sanitary sewer lines will also be commencing on February 23, 2026. The streets where the television inspection work will be performed include:
- Bluebonnet Lane near Ash Lane
- Carnation Street near Cedar Lane
- Intersection of Bartlett Road/Rice Street/Ash Lane
The television inspection work is expected to be completed within two weeks, barring any unforeseen weather conditions.
This project also involves improvements to the following streets:
- Bluebonnet Lane (First Street to Cedar Lane)
- Birch Street (Dogwood Lane to Aster Street)
- Cedar Lane (Carnation Street to Aster Street)
- Carnation Street & Birch Street intersection
- Carnation Street (Cedar Lane & Camillia Court)
- Bartlett Road and Ash Lane intersection
- Bartlett Road and Birch Street intersection
- Bartlett Road (Cedar Lane to Mert Lane)
- Dollins Street (First Street to Rice Lane)
- Eva Lane (First Street to Ash Lane)
- Patricia Lane (Cul-de-sac to Fern Lane)
The overall project is expected to be completed approximately 12 months from the start date, barring any unforeseen weather conditions.
