Join us as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday with the City of Katy Freedom Celebration Fireworks Show on Saturday, July 4, beginning at 9:00 PM near Typhoon Texas!

Spend the day enjoying the many Independence Day events, activities, and attractions taking place throughout the Katy area, including family fun at Typhoon Texas, local celebrations, shopping, dining, and more. Then make your way to the Typhoon Texas area and find a viewing spot to enjoy one of Katy's favorite Fourth of July traditions.

Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time before and after the fireworks show. Due to the large crowds expected, traffic congestion and street closures will impact travel throughout the area.

For everyone's safety:

• Follow all posted traffic control devices and officer instructions.

• Do not drive the wrong way on streets or through parking lots.

• Do not jump curbs, medians, or barriers to avoid traffic.

• Be patient and expect delays as vehicles enter and exit the area.

• Watch carefully for pedestrians and families walking near viewing areas after dark.

Our police officers and public safety personnel will be on-site throughout the event, and their primary goal is to help everyone celebrate safely.

We encourage everyone to make a day of it, support local businesses and community events, and enjoy a spectacular fireworks display as we honor our nation's 250 years of independence.
