The Katy Heritage Park Board consists of 5 Members, appointed jointly by the City and the Katy Heritage Society. Created in 2003 to oversee the development and operation of a new “Katy Heritage Park” , located at the corner of Avenue D and George Bush Drive, to be used for the purposes of education, community preservation and historical tourism interest.
Board Duties
The Board shall establish an annual budget for operation of the Park grounds, providing for regular maintenance, capital improvement, supplies, utilities, landscaping and compensation for employees assigned to the Park.
The Board shall establish, implement and enforce rules and regulations for operation of the Park:
- Regular days and hours of operation.
- Fees for private party use of the Park
- Method of staffing during regular hours and special events.
