The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board consists of seven (7) members, who shall assist and advise the Parks Director on the proper operation of the parks and recreational facilities.

The Board is hereby authorized to work with the Parks Director and make recommendations to the Parks Director about any matter it deems beneficial to the orderly administration of the Parks Department. The Board shall assist the Parks Director in promulgating any rules and regulations for the administration of the Parks Department.

Appeals

Any disputes over use of any park facility which cannot be resolved by the Parks Director shall be heard by the board. Any person aggrieved by the decision of the Board may appeal such decision to the City Council.

Studies and Recommendations

The Board shall make a study of the parks and recreational facilities and policies of the City of Katy and shall, each year, on or before the 1st day of June, make recommendations, in writing, to the Parks Director and City Council as to any changes, modifications and other improvements to such facilities.
