Civic Access Portal

The City of Katy Civic Access Portal is now available for online permit application submittals, payments, and inquiries :

To register for an account, please visit our citizen access portal: https://energov2.cityofkaty.com/energov_prod/selfservice#/home

In the upper right-hand corner, click “guest” and select “register”. Enter the email address that you have on file with us that was provided on your contractor registration application. You will receive an email with a confirmation link. Click on the link to confirm.  Enter your login information and complete the personal info and address information page.

Anyone will be able to do a search of public records on the site without having to register as a contractor or homeowner. This type of search will show limited information.

APPLICATION SUBMITTALS:

• Please be sure the applications are completely filled out and signed by the license holder, if applicable. To ensure all commercial permits are complete, please refer to the Commercial Plan Submittal Requirement checklist prior to submitting your application. 

• Once the applications are processed, you will be notified and given a permit number in order to make the payment online, done HERE. Once the payment is received, a copy of the permit will be emailed to you. A copy will need to be posted at the job site. 

• It is important that all submittals are complete and sufficient for review. If a submittal is lacking any information, you will be informed by email of the deficient items.

• To avoid issues with your application, please use Adobe Reader to electronically complete any forms. Adobe Reader can be downloaded for free here.

• Permit applications that are not currently available on the citizen access portal, must be submitted by email to katypermits@cityofkaty.com. All applications and forms are available for download in the list at the bottom of this page.
