Contractor Registration Requirements:
Contractors registering with the City of Katy must submit the following documentation:
- Completed Contractor Registration Application
- Copy of driver’s license
- Applicable state licenses
In addition, your insurance provider must submit proof of general liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $300,000, listing the City of Katy as the certificate holder. Proof of valid auto insurance is also required. For out-of-state insurance policies, the job site address must also be included on the certificate.
Submission Options
All required documentation may be submitted by email to katypermits@cityofkaty.com or in person to the Permit Office.
Payment & Fees
Once your registration has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an email with instructions to complete payment online or in person.
The contractor registration fee is $200.00, and the registration is valid for 12 months from the date of payment.
