Applying for an Ambulance Permit in the City of Katy begins with filling out the Permit Application (link provided below).

Completed applications can be submitted in person to Katy Fire Station #1 located at 1417 Ave D or via email to dmassey@cityofkaty.com or fireinfo@cityofkaty.com

Once your application is reviewed, it will be sent to the City Secretaries Office where it will be placed on the agenda for approval at the next City Council Meeting. If approved by council, you will receive an Approval letter signed by the Mayor. You will then need to pay a nonrefundable application processing fee of $500.  This fee can be paid at Katy Fire Station #1.  Payment must be made by Cash, Check or Money order.  * Fees will be pro-rated for 2019. 

Once the applicable fees are paid, you will be given your Ambulance Permit Sticker(s). This sticker is valid for the current year only and should be placed in the bottom left corner windshield of each ambulance you will be operating within the city limits of Katy.  Renewals for each year thereafter are $400.
