The Katy Municipal Court is committed to providing those we serve with courteous, prompt and efficient customer service. Our mission is to administer justice in a fair and timely manner. The Court handles traffic violations, Class C Misdemeanors and violations of City ordinances.
Judge Jeffrey Brashear
Judge Jeffrey Brashear obtained his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Business Management with secondary concentrations in Finance and Psychology from Liberty University. Judge Brashear is a lifetime member of his legal Honors fraternity Phi Delta Phi. Judge Brashear was a Guardian Ad Litem for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Duval County, Florida and received Pro Bono Honors while attending law school. Judge Brashear is a United States Naval Veteran with over eight years’ experience defending the United States in several countries.
He worked with the Navy Legal Service Office Southeast on tort claims and with the Trial Service Office Southeast office as an elite member of the prosecution team. Judge Brashear has handled a wide variety of legal issues including: wills and estate drafting, criminal defense, civil litigation, divorce, child custody, child support, child visitation, taxes, constitutional issues, personal injury issues, business and contract issues.
Judge Brashear was raised in Katy, Texas and graduated from Katy High School. Since his active duty service in the United States Navy, Judge Brashear has moved back to his roots in Katy to raise his family. He is a member in good standing with the American Bar Association, The State Bar of Texas, The Texas Young Lawyers Association, The Houston Bar Association, The Houston Young Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Fort Bend County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Faviola Rodriguez
Faviola Rodriguez has been with the City of Katy Municipal Court since November 2013. She was promoted to Court Administrator on March 2019. She is a Certified Municipal Court Clerk through the Texas Court Clerks Association and the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center. She is a graduate of Katy High School, Class of 2005.
