The City of Katy Parks and Recreation Department committed to providing quality park facilities and community events for the use and enjoyment of the residents of Katy. Parks and recreation services are beneficial to the community as it strengthens community image and sense of place, protects environmental resources, supports economic development, promotes health and wellness, and increases quality of life.
The Parks and Recreation Department operates and maintained ten diverse parks, as well as hosts ten community events throughout the year, in order to improve the quality of life that makes Katy a standout community.
Kayce Reina was hired as the City of Katy’s first Director of Tourism, Marketing and Public Relations in May 2014. She also serves as the City’s Director of Parks & Recreation.
Kayce is a 2006 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Media Studies and Business. Prior to her current position, Kayce was the Production Manager and Account Executive for The Phillips Agency and has over 15 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, media relations and event planning. Kayce serves on several boards and committees, is an active Katy Rotarian, and loves working with organizations and charities to help make a positive impact in the community.
Aside from work, Kayce is a busy mom to a seven-year-old son, Grant, and a five-year-old daughter, Avery. Kayce also enjoys the outdoors, photography, competitive games and watching sports, especially Aggie football. Kayce grew up in the small central Texas town of Brady, but she now proudly calls Katy home.
