Electricity at the VFW Park pavilions is currently not available. The pavilion at Katy City Park or Woodsland Park has electrical access, if needed.

Facility and Field Reservation Fees (updated 06-22-2026) 

These policies must be read and agreed upon during the reservation process, have been established by City Council for the use and reservation of parks, pavilions, buildings, fields, and gazebos. It is the responsibility of park facility renters to follow these rules and policies.

Reservations for all fields, courts and outdoor facilities are open. Reservations will ONLY be available online via our WebTrac System. Please use the following Internet browsers when making your online reservations and requests: Chrome, Safari and Firefox. Our online payment portal is not compatible with Internet Explorer or Edge.

Katy City Park Multipurpose Field Synthetic Turf:

•No Food or Gum: Chewing gum, sunflower seeds, candy, and snacks are banned, as they are difficult to remove and ruin the infill.

•Please dispose of all trash in trashcans

•No Drinks (Except Water): Colored sports drinks (e.g., Gatorade) and glass bottles are prohibited. Only plain water is allowed.

•No Smoking/Tobacco: Vaping, smoking, and tobacco products are strictly forbidden. Absolutely no open flames,  generators or inflatables.

•No Pets: Animals are not allowed on the turf, as they can cause damage or sanitation issues.

•No Sharp Objects/Stakes: Do not use stakes, poles, or corner flags that penetrate the turf surface. Only free-standing portable equipment may be used on turf.

•No Vehicles: Absolutely no motorized vehicles are allowed on the field. Bikes, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades are prohibited.

•Equipment & Footwear: Use molded cleats, turf shoes, or athletic sneakers. No metal cleats or screw-in spikes allowed on synthetic turf. Please ensure footwear is clean before entering turf surface.

•Goals/Equipment: Do not drag goals or heavy equipment. They must be lifted or wheeled to prevent tearing the turf.

•Furniture: No folding tables, or tents/canopies are permitted on the turf areas.

•No batting practice or golf on synthetic turf areas

•Programs conducted by the City will be given priority at all times and City reserves the right to change or cancel any reservation that may conflict with a City sponsored event or program. Field reservations take precedence over open play.

•Fields, facilities and parks shall not be utilized to conduct private business without an active Personal Services Contract with the City to provide certain approved recreational program services. Please reach out to the Katy Parks and Recreation Department to discuss programming opportunities.

FACILITY INFORMATION AND FEES

FULL payment of the deposit and fees are required to secure your reservation. All deposits are refundable after your event pending the condition of the space (i.e. no damages, missing items, trash, etc.). Deposits will be required for each facility and separate time blocks. Deposits for fields and courts will roll over to ongoing reservations. If you would like your field/court deposit refunded, please contact the Parks Office. 

*Lights are controlled by Musco and Siteco Lighting and will adjust to the time of sunset each day. During daylight savings time (March-November), charges for lighting fields are applied to reservations 7pm and later. November-March charges for lighting fields are applied to reservations 5pm or later
