DroneTogether is excited to be bringing our exhilarating and innovative drone flying camp to Katy this summer. Come have fun spending time in one of the fastest growing spaces in technology - drone flying. All flying abilities are welcome, as we build on basic flying skills to advance to more challenging and exciting opportunities. Some of the opportunities include tricks, team flying challenges, flying adventures, obstacle design and course design. All activities are designed to be collaborative, fun and safe for all students. Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist! These five days of chemistry are packed solid with cool reactions. Campers put on some goggles and change liquid to solid and back again. They get to handle laboratory tools, build and break molecules, and pick up some tricks on chemical changes.

No builder can say “Lego my Lego!” when engaged in the creative activities of LEGO MANIA! This innovative program for Lego buffs provides opportunities for imagination and hands-on learning under the guidance of a certified Texas educator. Over 15 new games, STEM kits, projects and activities not found in stores will be planned and manipulated. Enrichment in the areas of personal creativity, following instructions, eye-hand coordination, problem solving, critical thinking and learning will be experienced as the child has the opportunity to construct dinosaurs, rockets, castles, airplanes, forts, cars, and more!

Bring young technicians into a creative, engineering environment. Not found in stores, the special Lego Logo kits provide extraordinary opportunities for the hands-on construction. Under the guidance of a certified educator, along with detailed technical plans to follow, the participant will build robots, traffic lights, race cars, four-by-four trucks, cranes, pulleys, levers, and more during this energized week of discovery with Lego! Fashion Designer- Talented Expressions

Design principles in the areas of sketching, color & pattern coordination, costume design and fashion history will be applied to their personal style and portfolio. Girls will be grouped into “Design Teams” for a variety of fun, engaging activities such as White Wedding, Fashion Show-down.

Endless tracks and obstacle courses await every Hot Wheel’s car lover as they discover the world of math and physical science. What goes up must come down…or does it? Momentum, push, pull, force, and friction are just some of the STEM concepts they will understand. Measuring length and weight in centimeters, inches, feet, and ounces will help in the identification of the fastest, most efficient car on the block. Mega Loop Mayhem, Shark Cliff Hanger, Wolf Mountain, and hundreds of cars are just some of the play equipment that will have you yearning to come each day! Your child will not only have a solid background in science and math concepts, but will have also rolled away in good times with Hot Wheels!

Wrapped in games and adventure, unique challenges await you. During survival situations, the four basic needs become shelter, water, fire, and food. Baking 101

Baking 101 simplifies the science of baking by teaching young bakers the fundamentals for success with breads, doughs pies, cakes, and more! Campers will work in groups, baking 2-4 recipes per day completely hands-on. This class can accommodate nut allergies only (egg and gluten allergies are not accommodated).

Sphero – Through the Sphero Edu and Sphero Play app, the easy accessibility of this program allows for students of all ages to learn coding! The Sphero Bolt has many features that learners can use to become adequate programmers using blocks and java script.
What is Sphero and how does it work? Sphero is an adorable, durable, interactive—you guessed it—spherebot. Don’t let its size deceive you! Its functionality is almost boundless. Let’s dig in. Students connect to provided tablets via Bluetooth, and dive into programming on day one! With a maze activity, kids learn to program their 'bots to navigate a maze—without touching the walls. Students will use the Sphero has a programmable 8x8 LED matrix, so students can code it to change colors when Sphero rolls, stops or starts, reaches a goal, or whenever else they’d like. Coding sounds hard, but our younger coders utilize what’s called block coding. This means they’re not typing out code by hand—which can be complicated for such an age group—but rather dragging visual blocks into the coding area and connecting them.

Campers will follow design instructions and build a bot to compete with other campers. Campers will participate in challenging competition bit it’s not over yet! Let’s modify Like a BOSS! with their teammates to test their robot’s structural integrity and maneuverability. Time to THINK outside the BOT! How can I make the Bot go faster? How can I make it more powerful? These are the questions the campers will be faced during their challenging competitions. Campers will use LEGO Technic pieces that come together to create movable, steerable, controlled robots.

Campers will be challenged to set their goals high towards Mecha-Master Builder. To become a Mecha-Master Builder campers must conquer the concepts of basic engineering concepts and explore the use of gears, pulleys, wheels and axles, motors and so much more. This camp will open new windows, leading to the fun and mechanical world of robotics. Campers will use LEGO elements and motors to explore the world of engineering and robotics.

Sportball soccer isn’t your typical soccer program. High-energy, fun-filled sessions backed by Sportball methodology help kids master the game while they move their bodies and make new friends.

Blast off into the future and create a movie that’s out of this world! In this exciting summer camp, filmmakers will explore the art of science fiction storytelling, crafting their own intergalactic adventures and futuristic worlds. Students can explore themes where characters race through time to save the world or school aged students work together to stop AI from taking over the world or maybe local scientists discover that aliens live in our oceans....the ideas are endless as we spend the week answering our “What If” questions through cinematic storytelling!
