The Katy Police Department provides many community services and host events and programs throughout the year.

Residence/Business Security Form

This alerts the department that a greater patrol may be needed at the residence or business. Examples of this would be: vacations, criminal mischief, employee issue, and vacant residence. This service is available for a maximum of 90 days, and is free to the citizens of the incorporated City of Katy. The City does not include neighborhoods east of Katy Fort Bend Road or south of Katy Mills Mall, please check the City Limits Map to determine if you are in the city limits. Otherwise, please contact Harris County or Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department.

Fraud Packet Residence of the City of Katy wishing to report Financial Fraud/Identity Theft will need to complete a Fraud Packet. To download the Fraud Packet, simply click on the title, and download the packet. Once the packet is complete, contact the Police Department to have an officer come to your house for the report or bring the completed packet to the Police Department to make the report. 

Officer Complaint Form Anyone wishing to make an officer complaint can download the form by clicking on the title of this section. Complete the packet and bring to the Police Department and request a supervisor. If there is any further information needed, the supervisor will be able to assist in that area. 

Traffic Issues Traffic issues do occur from time to time within the city. If something needs to be reported so that an officer can be assigned to this area, please click on the title of this section. Complete the form and submit. It will be sent to the Patrol Captain, and addressed in a timely manner. Remember to include as much information as possible.  

Project Guardian The Katy Police Department is proud to present the Project Guardian Program. Families of those with Autism are asked to participate in the program by submitting basic information to create a profile for them, to include recent photos, individual characteristics, and other attributes that officers can reference during their interaction with them. The goal is to move towards appropriate care, resources and services. To enroll your loved one please click on Project Guardian above to complete the form. 

Alzheimer’s Registration Form
This form provides information to the Police Department, about a citizen that resides in the city with this special need. This may provide an officer the ability to help the citizen return home safely, if they come into contact with them in the community. The City does not include neighborhoods east of Katy Fort Bend Road or south of Katy Mills Mall, please check this map to determine if you are in the city limits. Otherwise, please contact Harris County or Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Department.

Tours
This tour provides citizens the opportunity to see exactly how the Police Department works from the inside. Tours are available for school aged children, pre-K and up.

There are numerous resources in the area surrounding Katy to assist with Mental Health issues. Our Crisis Intervention Team has compiled a list of available hospitals.
