1. Dispose of leaf litter and yard waste in an appropriate manner, never in the street or storm drain. Shred yard and leaf waste to use as mulch or fertilizer for your yard and garden.

    

2. Clear leaves and debris from gutters and storm drains. This will prevent flooding and keep debris out of our local waterways.

    

3. Fertilize your lawn only if needed. To save yourself time and money, have your soil tested to determine the amount of fertilizer required.

    

4. Plant native trees and shrubs! Fall is the best time of year to plant. Trees and shrubs help rainwater soak into the ground.
