Elected May 2026 

Michael is originally from Wapakoneta, Ohio, and began working in the Katy area in 2013. He married his wife, Lauren, in Katy in 2015, and the couple moved within the Katy city limits in 2016, where they chose to build their home and raise their family. They have one daughter, Emmy Lou. Michael owns and operates a custom woodworking design and production company, and the flexibility of business ownership allows him to be present as a father.

Michael attended Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio, studying secondary education with an emphasis in social studies. He spent 20 years in the private sector in manufacturing and production management, leading teams ranging from small groups to more than 100 employees. His experience includes operational leadership and process improvement across multiple organizations, which he now applies in running his own business.

Michael has been actively involved in his community since moving to Katy, serving nine years on his neighborhood HOA board, including seven years as president, along with participation on multiple community committees. He and his wife have been active volunteers through their church. They have also served as a licensed foster home in the State of Texas, reflecting a commitment to serving children and families in need, and have supported local pet adoption and animal welfare efforts.

In addition to his neighborhood leadership, Michael has worked alongside City of Katy staff and the Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner’s office to help facilitate road improvements, flood control efforts, and enhanced safety and recreational opportunities within his community. He has also worked with neighboring developers to support thoughtful, long-term planning, including efforts related to the future Legacy Park and trail system.

He has dedicated the past decade to serving his community and looks forward to continuing that service for the residents of Katy in the years ahead.
